Oculoplastics

Oculoplastic SurgeryNashua Eye is proud to offer the services of Dr. Victoria S. North, an oculoplastics specialist. Dr. North is an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship-trained physician, specializing in functional and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and eye sockets. Additionally, Dr. North takes time to come to Nashua from her faculty position at Tufts-New England Eye Center.

Dr. North examines and treats patients with diseases of the orbit (the bone around the eye, as well as the tissue behind the eye). This complex anatomic space includes important nerves, vessels, and muscles, and can be disturbed by infection, inflammation, and tumor. Our oculoplastics specialist treats functional eyelid problems such as entropion or ectropion, where the eyelid fails to adequately protect the surface of the eye. Dr. North also treats upper lid ptosis where the upper lid droops and blocks vision. Dr. North diagnoses and treats diseases of the tear or “lacrimal” gland as well as the lacrimal drainage system for tearing problems.

Dr. North has extensive experience performing many cosmetic rejuvenation procedures. An upper and lower lid blepharoplasty enhances and refreshes the appearance of the eyelids. Botox injections treat the wrinkles in the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes. Multiple different kinds of fillers are available to fill in hollowing in the cheeks, along the folds extending from the nose to the mouth and the jowl area.

Conveniently, Dr. North operates at the Nashua Eye Surgery Center.
